I am trying to establish a new colony in Beaver County, Pa., which is just north of Pittsburgh. I was wondering if there is anyone in this area who has been successful in establishing a colony, and if anyone knows if this is a particularly difficult area in which to attract Martins. Obviously I have had no luck yet in attracting Martins to my house. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Martin Colony History: First started in Gretna, La in 1969 with a small homemade house, have had martins ever since at 2 different homes in Texas

Bill, look at the scout report for Pa. Go above this post, click on "scout report", the click on the desired state. Now you can see whom reported martins this year, and maybe you can figure out if anyone is near your place.
