I was wondering if there have been any migration studies done to indicate the route of Martins that end up in certain parts of the northern United States? In other words, where do Martins that end up in my area of Western Pa. migrate through, do they come through Texas or Florida or some other route? I would be interested in knowing this so when I see reports of large numbers of Martins coming through certain areas I would know if they are destined to end up anywhere near my area. Could make for some excitement for me as I wait for them. As always thanks for the great information.

Bill the Geo Locator program show some routes, i guess they will be shown in the next PMCA magazine

New geolocator info will probably not be published until fall or winter issues. The Texas project, funded by Natl Audubon's Important Bird Area program, got nine birds back out of 19. This year's return in PA, at PMCA, is not known yet since birds are just arriving.
We'll have a report on findings as soon as possible, but not until all PA birds are back, and the nesting season is over, most likely.
