- Anyone in the East North Dakota Region or Northwest Minnesota Region who is interested in the conservation of Purple Martins, please feel free to contact me. This region has serious site completion from the English House Sparrow and European Starling and constraint control is necessary for a successful Purple Martin site.

- I have had an active martin colony since 1998. I have 2 modified aluminum houses and a 12 gourd rack for a total of 24 cavities. I am a volunteer for the North Dakota Game and Fish Department Watchable Wildlife Program and have conducted 6 Attracting Purple Martin Seminars throughout North Dakota. I would be happy to help you attract martins to your site.

- We just moved to this property, located on the Red River, last fall. The previous owners left behind a martin house for us. We do not know if they used it. It looks new and is not painted white. There is a pole already in place in the backyard in accordance with recommendations from this website. Our neighbors across the road have two martin houses with gords hanging around them. I've not had a chance to talk to the neighbors to see how successful they are.
