- I bought my first Purple Martin house. I live in the country and have plenty of open areas. I know the adult scouts have been spotted as of the last week of March, so was planning on putting the house up this week?? We have many sparrows and starlings in the area and I don't want to put it up too soon..Any help will be appreciated!
