- I have had a colony for the past 3 years I started out with a small 16 room wooden house [6x6] each year I have added houses. I now have 35 compartments that are 7x12 and that same 16 room 6x6. I had 40 active pairs last year with an average of 2 fledgelings per couple. I look forward to the martins every year once I got hooked.

- My colony has natural gourds, SuperGourds, 2 wooden houses and 1 modified aluminum house. In total I have 58 cavities. I intend to increase my natural gourds by 6 more as the PM's seem to like them. In 2000, I had 9 PMs, 3 nesting pairs and fledged 11 fledlings. In 2001 season, I had 16 nesting pairs and fledged 75 babies. I also had a local bird bander band all my 75 fledling. To eastablish my colony I used many techniques listed at PMCA, like the Dawn Song, PM Decoys, Mirrors, Eggshell feeders, sparrow control, fake nests, etc.

DEL BRANN
- Hudson Bay, SK
- Highly dedicated, has three Troyer style winch units, controls sparrows and starlings. Unfortunately he has only hosted 1 pair of martins in the past three years. Martins are very rare in his area, yet he does not give up. Feeds wild birds, hosts Tree Swallows. Wide interests in the natural world.

- Purple Martin Conservancy-CANADA:
- This has been an active portion of our lives for the past 25 years. We are presently active in this regard across this geographic area. We are proud to have mentored the ELLIS BIRD FARM to success in returning martins to this site after an absence of 18 years. The techniques used were consistant with PMCA format and our own experiences.
