
Size: 71/2-81/2" in length
Description: The starling is similar to a short tailed blackbird with a meadow lark shape. In the sky, it has a triangular shape and flies very directly and quickly. Can have great iridescence with a yellow beak. The starling can be seen at feeders and often on the ground.
Range: Originally Eurasia and North Africa, introduced into all of North America and elsewhere.
Habitat: The European starling can be seen in cities, parks, and other human inhabited locations. Will nest in purple martin housing.
